About Us
Panamá -Texas Connection Foundation (PanTex) is an organization founded in 2014 for community outreach, using Panamanian/Latin American and all others cultural principles to enrich, educate, and empower youths through our culture and folklore. Our mission is to provide events that will overall pave a tradition that we leave behind for the youth of this great state.
PanTex’s goal is to expose others to the Latin American culture and its values of family, community service, and leadership. We seek to enrich the minds and hearts of Texas youth and their families by providing resources and networking platforms for financial planning, entrepreneurship, College Financial Assistance, and Scholarships.
Panama is a country on the isthmus linking Central and South America. The Panama Canal, a famous feat of human engineering, cuts through its center, linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans to create an essential shipping route. In the capital, Panama City, modern skyscrapers, casinos and nightclubs contrast with colonial buildings in the Casco Viejo district and the rainforest of Natural Metropolitan Park.
Our Challenge
Panamá -Texas Connection Foundation (PanTex) will celebrate our first cultural and folkloric parade on November 11, 2024, with our participation in the Houston Veteran’s Day Parade. We invited the Marching Band of the Benemérito Fire Department of the Rep. of Panamá, Regional Zone of Colón, to Houston, Texas.
Our participation in the parade will only be possible with the support of our community assisting in underwriting the cost of flight tickets, transportation, and food & lodging for three days for members. Excess funds if any will be used to support resources and networking platforms for financial literacy, entrepreneurship, college financial assistance and scholarships.
PanTex's challenge is to raise $50,000.00 to bring First Responders Members of the Marching Band. Let's fulfill the goal together.
